Book Review:
Napoleonic Source Book

By Philip Haythornthwaite

For a one-stop product that will give you an excellent coverage of the Napoleonic Wars, it is damn hard to go past this volume.

Haythornthwaite is one of the leading scholars of the period and this work details the campaigns, the weapons, the various arms of the military forces, the nations at war and a whole host of biographies of the leading figures.

It is exceedingly well laid out, filled with interesting, readable accounts of the wars and has many images of those concerned.

For enthusiasts, or armchair warriors, this has to be on the bookshelf.
